As is customary for our labs, the review won't hit day one, but many of you already know what to expect having played it on a console. Expect my review to be similar in scope and attention as my review of Fallout New Vegas.

November is going to be a HUGE month for reviews, even for us. We've got LA Noire, Skyrim, and perhaps other games, plus the Kindle Fire. I'm going to try to prioritize by what is realistic to release in short order, but this means that I have no ETA on game reviews for this month.

Patience will pay off. I'm a huge fan of GTA IV, and LA. I'm not a huge fan of console gaming ( shocking, I know ) so I didn't really get to do this one until now. Console kiddies may say "old news" but the patient PC gamer is rewarded with, from the actual Steam pitch "Enhanced resolutions and graphical performance"

In other words, it will look much better. GTA IV looks SIGNIFICANTLY better on a high end PC, so why wouldn't I play it on one?

Look for this and GTA V whenever that is released as well!

UPDATE! LA Noire uryaen.com copies have landed and are being downloaded. Check back often for first impressions, and micro updates.

As you all know by now, I'm preparing for surgery in a few weeks, so major reviews are kind of on hold, but I just have to give props to Tripwire, for once again showing how video game PR is done. My key arrived in my email WITHOUT my even having to ask for it. I've been wondering for a while if I was going to get one, and the DD edition is here. Unlocks in 7 hours.

Even if I eventually find fault with the game ( I'm notoriously hard on PC games that don't do the basics correctly like UI and controls ), the PR that these people are doing really shows what the opposite of "The Warning List" can look like.

I'll try to fire this bad boy up, get a few shots, and a first impression, and after surgery, I'll do the full review. Thank you all again for your amazing patience while I deal with my crisis.

uryaen.com 's game reviews continue with: The Witcher 2. Having played the initial release, I wouldn't have given the game a positive review, especially due to the key binding issues. Post Patch 2.0, I'll be returning to Witcher 2. Thank you for your patience.
